Le Cacce degli Amodeo

tasting notes

Deep ruby red with garnet nuances. Aromas of ripe plum, black cherry and dried flowers intertwine with notes of cocoa, sage, tobacco and sweet spice. The palate is ample and velvety, supported by refined tannins, balanced acidity and a long, savory finish marked by hints of balsamic herbs and dark citrus.

BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO

Produced from vineyards located slightly lower on the hillsides of Montalcino, Le Cacce reveals a warmer and broader interpretation of Sangiovese while preserving the elegance and mineral character that define the estate.

The lower altitude and surrounding soils contribute to a wine of deeper fruit concentration, softer textures and layered spice. Fermentation and aging follow the traditional philosophy of the estate, with extended maceration and long refinement in Slavonian oak casks before bottle aging.

A treasure trove of labels

This label emerges from the younger branch of the Amodeo project, and incorporates the cross as its central symbolic structure.

It reflects a sense of direction, protection, and passage—an emblem of shared origin interpreted through a more essential and contemporary visual language.

Geological data sheet

The southwestern side of the Montalcino hill is a cultivated landscape where centuries of agricultural presence have shaped a continuous dialogue between land and human activity. Renaissance villas, historic farmhouses, and working estates are scattered across the slopes, forming a landscape defined by balance rather than isolation.

Within this context, the vineyards dedicated to Brunello di Montalcino extend across a slightly lower band of altitude, where the terrain softens and exposure becomes more moderated.
